The Angler Fleet is a family-friendly business located in Port Washington, New York. We specialize in private charters and open boat fishing including our most popular half day fishing trips, kids summer camp, and summer fireworks cruises.
Join us on the calm, sheltered waters of Long Island Sound for a memorable fishing trip to catch fluke, blackfish, striped bass, or scup (porgy). Our kind, courteous crew is available to assist all skill levels. We offer free parking onsite and no fishing licenses are required.
Our Story
The Angler Fleet was created 2 decades ago By Captain Ken. Originally in sheepshead bay Brooklyn, later moved to Port Washington NY I'm Kenny Schmitt, now at the helm as the proud owner. From childhood obsession to running charters in later years, fishing has been a constant thread in my life. The call to seize opportunities echoed, and when The Angler Fleet was up for grabs, I sensed destiny. Stepping into this venture with fervor and commitment, I aim to enhance this already stellar experience. Armed with a retail background and a lifetime of people skills, I'm ready to infuse my passion into every aspect of this unique fishing obsession. OUR FLEET
ANGLER V
The Angler Fleet is proud to have you aboard the Angler V. This 50-foot, Coast Guard inspected vessel is the perfect way to experience the best of Long Island Sound fishing or cruising. With twin diesels and 750 horsepower, the Angler V can get you to the fishing grounds quickly and efficiently. Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art fishing and navigation equipment, including GPS, fishfinder, and radar., there is a clean bathroom on board with seats and tables in the cabin as well as an upper deck. We also have a full complement of fishing tackle and bait on board, so you can focus on the fun of fishing instead of worrying about the gear. We have top notch captains and crew ready to make your experience one to remember.
ANGLER VI
Experience an exciting private fishing charter or cruise on board the Angler VI, a 65ft Coast Guard Inspected Vessel fitted with twin diesel engines and state-of-the-art safety and fish finding equipment. Enjoy the upper or lower deck, both with ample seating. The Angler VI is perfect for groups of all sizes, up to 60 passengers for fishing and 85 passengers for cruising. All of our trips include fishing equipment, bait, and safe dockside parking FREE of charge. We have 2 clean bathrooms with sinks and a galley in the cabin with food and refreshments.
ANGLER VII
A 23’ center console for up to 4 guests. Equipped with impressive features like a spot lock trolling motor that also takes the place of an anchor, that’s right we can hold an exact spot with the push of a button. Side and down imaging electronics with too many features to name. This boat is FAST to get you fishing quickly and able to chase the fish when they are moving. We do all sorts of fishing styles on this boat but fly fishing, light tackle bass fishing (plugging) and blackfish are its specialties. Unfortunately a pink and blue bucket are the extent of the restrooms on this vessel.
6 PACK BOAT
We have a 25’ Parker sport cabin, the boat you think of when someone says fishing boat. This boat is decked out with state of the art electronics and a quick outboard to get around. Available for up to 6 passengers on any kind of fishing trip

We provide a family friendly environment; elite and novice fisherman are welcome.

We offer a variety of charter packages, including full day, half day, night fishing trips and customs cruises for any occasion.
Kids Summer Fishing Adventures
Learn to Fish and Have Fun at Our Weekly Fishing Camp in Port Washington, NY Before the week is out your child will show a substantial improvement in their fishing abilities along with an in-depth knowledge of our waters and what is in it. Best of all they will have fun doing it! Registration for our weekly sessions can be made at any time. Space is limited to 15 kids. If we don’t fill all 15 spots on any given week, we open up the camp to Day Trippers! Day Tripper openings are added to our calendar every Saturday before the week starts, so be sure to check back if you’re interested in a Day Tripper spot. If you reserve a weekly session and your child can’t make it for the full week, we will try to fill your child’s spot (your help finding someone to fill their spot is greatly appreciated!). Only when the spot is filled will you then receive either a refund or makeup day. Unfortunately, as a small business we are unable to offer refunds without having the spot filled. We thank you for your understanding.

Open Boat Cruises & Parties
Enjoy Fireworks Cruises, sunset, moonlight or custom cruises and parties. Join us for a spectacular experience on the water and unforgettable Views on Long Island Sound, cruises are fun for the entire family!! We set sail from Inspiration Wharf in port Washington and sail past landmarks of the Western Long Island Sound. Enjoy breathtaking views, a snack and frosty beverage. For our firework trips, just after dark, we arrive just off the coast of the show, to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display. Join us for thrilling views of the annual Glen Cove Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration Or ride play lands multiple shows a year in Rye, NY. On display, you will see fireworks by Gucci, the world-renowned “America’s first family of fireworks.” Our cruise is a celebration with family and friends making memories as bright as the pyrotechnics extravaganza in the sky. Food, snacks, and beverages are available on board, so you can relax and enjoy the cruise without having to worry about bringing anything. Please note that no coolers are allowed on board.
